WHAT OUR PASSENGERS HAVE TO SAY

"Croissants, crispy baguettes, cheeses-creamy and rich, Wines we have Never tasted before. Sage colored olives, sweet figs and melon. We can't choose our best meal ! Everything more wonderful each day. Tender mussels in white wine sauce, lamb with fragrant spices, a chicken baked in rock saltSalads with fresh tomatoes, soft boiled eggs with golden yolk. Tiny mushrooms. Lemon tart. WE CAN'T LEAVE!

Our days passed with lazy gentle crossing through jade colored water lock after lock. Cream colored cows swish their tails. Joxephine dozes at our feet. Sun sets. Perfect weather. Our 25th anniversary, a lovely memory with champagne to match ! We shared with our new friends. THANKS HAZEL for a PERFECT week. Great stories and Brendan, thanks for all your knowledge tastying wines. Claire so amazing, Harriet adorable and loveable laugh. We want to take you home."

"We had an amazingly relaxing timefelt very pampered and so well taken care of. The Valley is beautiful, the boat so much fun and a fabulous meal every couple of hours. Thank you for an unforgettable family experience. You are now part of our family history.

I can't imagine a more perfect series of moments - bike riding at dusk, watching the trees pass by sitting in the Jacuzzi, an amazing lunch at Abbaye de la Bussiere - all made possible by the untiring efforts of Thea, Jean Luc and Hazel ! Wonderful ! Thank you, hope to see you again."

"We are back again on the Fandango but this time on the Canal de Bourgogne. It is certainly lovely and a change from the Canal du Midi. We had a wonderful meal at the Abbaye de la Bussiere - a real dining experience - but nothing can beat the cooking of Hazel. We enjoyed Dijon and the trip to Beaune, and seeing Jean Luc and Claire again. Many many thanks Hazel and everyone for looking after us so well. Looking forward to the next time."

"We were picked up in Dijon by the Lady in Red. Embarked on a journey filled with coffee and bread.
From the vineyards of Beaune, to the mustards of Dijon, through vale and glade, our waistlines paid.
The staff is superb, Hazel's food is sublime. A week on the Fandango is just too short a time!! "

The Lahre family of five / three generations from California, Georgia and New York City, U.S.A.

Barge Fandango Passenger Reviews

"France is a great country but if you do not take a barge experience you will never know the real country. We have spent the wonderful week on Fandango. Within the week it became our home thanks to warm hospitality of our crew. The cooking of Hazel is something outstanding. This week was really the week of gastronomic fairytale. Every dinner, every evening was a masterpiece. We thank you very much and hope to come back again."
